I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge the Bearded Collie Open Show of Scotland also thanks to the exhibitors for a most enjoyable day at this friendly well run show and of course thanks go to my able steward Bob Cross and Mike for taking photo’s. I have always enjoyed a trip to Scotland even if this trip was a bit of a marathon. I found all the dogs to be as friendly as they always are, well groomed and in good condition.

1st Jemmett's - Thymewinds Midwinter Magic at Westbere
11 ½ year old strongly well made dog lovely head with a truly melting expression, really dark eyes good arch of neck, good deep chest, level top line belying his age moved well. BSV
Veteran Dog (ent 3 2abs)
1st Stott's - Mobuff Kashmir
7 year old Slate head not as strong as I like but had a melting expression deep chest good length of rib level top line.

6mth old Slate Nice head dark eyes full of mischief good lay of shoulder, good depth of chest nice length well balanced on the stand and the move. BOSP

7mth Slate Nice head dark eyes good shape well muscled but a bit naughty today.

Brown boy in the very pale stage good head mouth, eyes tone with coat good front, level top line lovely harsh coat.

1st Armour & Fletcher's - Talraz Trail Blazer
Really liked this lad felt he would have been better free standing, lovely to go over soft expression the right amount of head coat so that the eye with a melting expression was not obscured good length of neck good shoulders ex front good depth of chest long rib, sort loin strong rear well muscled moved with reach and drive flowed round the ring.

Nice head eyes tone with coat which was a good colour and texture.
Would have liked more height and length on this lad, moved well.

Good head dark eye good length of neck good lay of shoulder nice front, deep depth of chest long rib level top line won this class on movement very fluid.
2nd Stott's - Gillaber Ballindalloch
3rd Aughey's - Lochbarra Dark Shadow for Aughenaird
Lovely head dark eye soft expression good lay of shoulder, deep chest, and long rib well balanced.

Dark Slate with a lovely head melting expression good lay of shoulder good front level top line deep chest so well put together he moved with fluidity and drive round the ring.
2nd Peart's - Gillaber Ballachulish For Talluarchy.
3rd Gibb's - Dychix Captain Jack JW, Sh.CM Nicely put together strong head dark eye good lay of shoulder deep chest just dipped behind the withers would like to see him move with more purpose.
4th Stott's - Gillaber Ballindalloch.

Dark slate strong broad head, dark eyes melting expression good front good depth of chest level top line just a little heavy on the move.

Ballantyne & Burns - Ch Bustroc Ae Fond Kiss Brown bitch so well put together lovely head dark brown eyes melting expression well muscled neck leading to a good lay of shoulder correct front, depth of chest long ribs leading to a firm well muscled rear, coat a lovely colour little to much for me but of the correct texture moved well. BV, BVIS.
Minor Puppy Bitch (3 ent)
1st Macdonald's - Mysterhys Absolute Destiny what a poppet just 6 mths and standing like she had been a show girl for years lovely expression nice head piece good neck length well set shoulders nice front good depth of chest, level top line well balanced moved well. BP, BPIS
2nd Steel & Osborne's - Osmart Belle in Black Satin At Invercoyle another lovely pup dark eyes nice headpiece sweet expression good front level top line moved well when she was going straight just not as settled as 1.
3rd Dickson's - Duncannas Highland Honey another pup of similar type dark eye nice headpiece good front good depth of chest level top line.
A little overwhelmed in the ring, Keep up the training you will both improve with time.

2nd Ballantyne & Burns - Bustroc Red Red Rose Smaller bitch than 1 nice head piece good neck length well places shoulders nice front deep chest level top line coat of good texture just not the front extension of 1.
3rd Paterson's - Gallus Living The Dream Good head eyes length of neck, ex front deep chest level top line good textured coat from her makeup should have moved with more drive possible one for the outside shows.
