The Bearded Collie Club of Scotland Open Show
27th June 2009 at
The Cochrane Hall, Alva.
Judge – Barry Canty (Bargemon)
I was honoured to have been elected by the members to judge the BCC of Scotland Open Show and thank the Committee and exhibitors who made my day so enjoyable at this wonderful venue. My thanks must also go to my stewards, Bob and Brian.
It was noticeable that some exhibits were carrying a little too much weight and lacked condition which ultimately cost them on their placings, our standard says lean and active. A few others had knots in their coats and very dirty teeth for which there is no excuse at any level of competition. Overall, there was a depth of quality to the exhibits today with some very close decisions in some classes, and I was more than pleased with my principal winners.
