General Comments:- I would like to thank the committee for such a lovely happy show, it was a pleasure for me to be there, my stewards and the exhibitors, as likewise it was a pleasure to be with them.
Overall I was very happy with the dogs, there were a few carrying a little too much weight but perhaps that can be excused in view of the harsh winter we have had, particularly Scotland, and I’m sure those dogs will regain their condition with more exercise. Bites and cleanliness of teeth was good, I only found 1 level bite and 1 overshot. Movement overall was good, a factor I prize highly, taking into account we were inside which does not suit all dogs. I was also pleased to see there were few light eye colours, a dark eye in a Beardie I think is essential to give it that unique facial expression.

Dogs
Special Vintage (1)
1st Aughey Aughnaird Clydes Double: 12 yr old, dark slate, strong head with a dark eye, good length of rib. Enjoyed his day out, moving well. B. Sp. Vintage.
Veteran (3:2)
1st Buchanan-Hislop Ch. Ciopar Celtic Razzle’s Boy JW: 7 yr. old, dark slate, lovely head and expression, in excellent condition body and coat. Well muscled and moved really well and enjoyed it. BD. BVIS & RBIS
Minor Puppy Dog (1)
1st Armour & Fletcher Talraz Trail Blazer: 9 months old slate, only his third time in the ring so very much on a learning curve. He has a nice head with a good eye colour, good length of rib, a little straight in the shoulder but still in the developing stage, a little loose on the move, to be expected, but strode out well and displayed confidence.
Puppy Dog (0)
Junior Dog (2)
1st Fullerton & Gibson Bustroc Killiecrankie: 11 month old, very dark slate, everything going for this young man and maybe one to watch for the future. A really nice package, everything toning with his jacket, eye colour and pigment. A good length, moved well and with the weather improving will hopefully loose just a bit of weight and improve his muscle tone. Litter brother to Best Puppy. RBP.
2nd Martin Maghullpaws Streetboy: 14 month old brown, light coloured coat with matching eye colour. He is well made, good shoulder and length and very well muscled, not lacking in exercise. He was being shown for the first time by a first time handler so spent sometime with 4 feet off the floor (dog not handler!), but persevere with ringcraft classes.
Yearling Dog (7:2)
1st Gibb Dychix Captain Jack JW Sh.CM: 2 year old very dark slate, liked this young man a lot. Lovely head with a dark eye giving that special expression, good shoulder placement, good length and as expected with the package, moved really well. I would like to see him progress.
2nd Aughey Lochbarra Dark Shadow For Aughenaird: 19 month old slate, a well made dog with a strong head and eye colour. Good length and shoulder placement, at that awkward ‘inbetween’ age for coat. Moved well.
3rd Gill & Cook Gillaber Ballater.
Maiden Dog (1)
1st Martin Maghullpaws Streetboy.
Novice Dog (2:1)
1st Scott Gillaber Ballindalloch: 22 month old light brown with matching eye colour. At present a level bite so I hope the lower jaw might move forward just a bit yet. Lacking a little length, well muscled indicating a lot of exercise which would account for lacking a bit of body for me. Difficult to access movement as a bit of a bouncer. Persevere.
Debutant Dog (3:1)
1st Aughey Lochbarra Dark Shadow For Aughenaird.
2nd Scott Gillaber Ballindalloch.
Undergraduate Dog (6:2)
1st Cook Mostonbrae Angel of Love: 3 yr. old dark slate, a well made honest dog. Lovely head and eye colour, good shoulder and good length. Well coated and moved purposefully, he was enjoying his day!
2nd Gill & Cook Gillaber Ballater: 22 month old dark slate, the main difference between him and the 1st place was maturity. He has a lovely head and eye colour with good overall construction. He is at that in between stage.
3rd Peart Gillaber Ballachulish For Talluarchy.
Graduate Dog (6:1)
1st Drummond & Forrest Kiltondale Mid-Knight: 3 yr. old dark slate, nice eye dark eye, strong head and good strong muzzle, good length of neck into nice shoulders. Good length, a little overweight for me but moved very well. RBD.
2nd Cook Mostonbrae Angel of Love.
3rd Millar Ramsgrove Thyme Lord At Beardiewood.
Postgraduate Dog (5:1)
1st Paterson Gallus Absolute Quality JW: 2 yr. old brown, I would have liked a bit darker eye which was set in a well proportioned head. I felt overall a little on the small side for a dog but having said that very compact and well constructed which he showed on the move, he could have done with a larger area.
2nd Cook Mostonbrae Angel of Love.
3rd Stott Mobuff Kashmir.
Mid Limit Dog (3:1)
1st Gill & Cook Ramsgrove Homeward Bound To Gillaber JW Sh. CM: 4 yr. old blue, nice head, eye colour and pigment matching full coat, good length, a compact dog with everything put together very nicely to produce a pleasing movement.
2nd Stott Mobuff Kashmir.
Limit Dog (4:2)
1st Stott Mobuff Kashmir.
2nd Griffiths Silene Kingfisher Blue: 2 yr. old with a lovely head and dark eye, good neck length into good shoulder placement. A little short in rib length and he needed more body for me which I felt would give him a bit better jacket. He lost out on his movement, he was not happy with the surface as he went off the running track onto the floor on a number of occasions.
Open Dog (0)
Bitches.
Special Vintage Bitch (2:1)
1st Paterson Gallus Drop Dead Gorgeous JW: aptly named12½ yr. old, nice head, good reach of neck, really good length of rib, well coated and muscled, in cracking condition, a really happy senior citizen.
Veteran Bitch (2:1)
1st Ballantyne & Burns Ch. Bustroc Ae Fond Kiss: 7 yr. old brown, I confess a favourite of mine. I liked everything about her, lovely head, eye colour with a melting expression, her construction is very good which she displayed in her lovely flowing movement.
Minor Puppy Bitch (0)
Puppy Bitch (6:1)
1st Evans Bustroc Poosie Nansie: 11 months old, a really nice, eye catching young lady in excellent condition. A lovely head and dark eye, good shoulders and rib length, strode out moved very smoothly. Not surprised to find she is a daughter of my veteran bitch (above) and sister to the Reserve Best Puppy. BPIS
2nd Kirby Finesk Ladys Fancy: 9 month old lovely dark slate in full puppy coat. Nice head and eye colour, well constructed front, good length and well muscled. A very nice young lady, not as settled on the move as 1.
3rd Cook Menander It’s Only Love.
Junior Bitch (4:1)
1st Evans Bustroc Poosie Nansie.
2nd Cook Menander It’s Only Love: 9 month old dark slate, nice head and good eye colour, good length of neck into nicely constructed shoulders. Good rib length, well covered but that will take care of itself when she gets some running. Not as settled on the move as 1.
3rd Harvey & McColm Echoridge Summer Dream.
Yearling Bitch (4)
1st Hosie Gillaber Balnacara At Aliskye JW: 22 month old lovely slate with a lovely head and eye colour with a melting expression. Good length of neck into well constructed shoulders. Good length of rib, well muscled and took this class on her lovely movement.
2nd Steel Pattishawl Just Dreaming: 22 month old lovely slate and I am not going to repeat myself by writing what I for 1 because the same applies here. Obviously I liked her very much and look forward to her progressing. 1 & 2 could easily change places on another day.
3rd Delaney Duncannas Classy Lassie Of Arranbrae.
Maiden Bitch (2)
1st Steel Pattishawl Just Dreaming.
2nd Delaney Duncannas Classy Lassie Of Arranbrae: 23 month old slate, nice head, would have liked a bit darker eye, nice reach of neck, good shoulders and rib length, moved well, again not a lot to choose between 1 & 2 but her movement not quite as fluid.
Novice Bitch (3)
1st Steel Pattishawl Just Dreaming.
2nd Evans Bustroc Poosie Nansie.
3rd Duncan Duncannas Tammy She’s The One.
Debutant Bitch (4)
1st Steel Pattishawl Just Dreaming.

3rd Duncan Duncannas Tammy She’s The One.
Undergraduate Bitch (5:2)
1st Peart Mostonbrae Angel Of Peace For Talluarchy: 3 yr. old dark slate, nice head and without doubt the strongest, correct length muzzle of the day. I would have preferred a darker eye, good shoulders and good length of rib, well muscled and moved the best in the class.
2nd Duncan Duncannas Tammy She’s The One.
3rd Cook Barkly Destiny’s Child.
Graduate Bitch (4)
1st Hosie Gillaber Balnacara At Aliskye JW.
2nd Moir Westbere Wallis With Winaria: 3 yr. old brown, nice head and eye colour with a really loving yet mischievous expression. A good length of rib, well muscled, moved well, a neat young lady who behaved impeccably.
3rd Cook Barkly Destiny’s Child.
Postgraduate Bitch (3:1)
1st Peart Mostonbrae Angel Of Peace For Talluarchy.
2nd Courtenay-Blake Bendale Blue Moon Over Tousietykes: 2 yr. old slate, a really sweet young lady with a lovely expression. Nice head, overall construction good, her movement was not quite as good as 1.
Mid Limit Bitch (3)
In spite of there only being 3 dogs in the class, this was the hardest class of the day to place. They were 3 lovely, well matched bitches that I am loath to place one better than another, but for the sake of protocol, regrettably, I have had to but in effect they were all worthy of red cards.
I don’t intend to comment in detail on each individual dog as my comments would be repetitive, so all had lovely heads with dark appealing eyes, good length of neck, good shoulders, rib length and well muscled. The minor difference was in the movement, but a lovely class, thank you.
1st Barley Braemoray Strathspey At Runival: 4 yr. old slate. RBB
2nd Buchanan-Hislop Ciopar Celtic Chancer: 3 yr. old slate.
3rd Murray-Walker Douglasdale Dream Angel Of Walkerbrae: 3 yr. old chocolate brown.
Limit Bitch (4)
1st Buchanan-Hislop Ciopar Celtic Chancer.
2nd Paterson Gallus Living The Dream: 4 yr. old dark slate with a lovely head and toning eye colour, good shoulder placement, good rib length and well muscled. Moved out really well, lovely to see.
3rd Gill & Cook Gillaber Kincardine.
Open Bitch (4:2)
1st Jemmett Westbere Whisper JW Sh.CM: 3 yr old dark slate bitch, lovely head and the darkest of eye giving that special expression. Good reach of neck into good shoulders. Long body from a good rib length, very well muscled and it all came together when she moved with a lovely flowing movement so special in our breed. BIS
2nd Ballantyne & Burns Bustroc Red Red Rose: 3 yr. old brown with a lovely head and eye colour, again giving that melting expression. You could not but like this young lady, everything right about her, shoulders, rib length, well muscled, 1 took the class on movement.
