May I take this opportunity to thank all those who entered under me. It was a real pleasure to get to know so many dogs that I have admired from the side of the ring. I know how much time and trouble you all take in presenting your dogs and this entry was a credit to you all.

1st Broadbridge & Muir’s SALLEN HARRAR beautiful 10year old brown boy, good pigmentation. and eye colour matching a course coat. Strong muzzle with strong white teeth . Well balanced construction which showed in his movement. Handled with care and consideration.
Veteran Dog
1st Broadbridge & Muir’s SALLEN HARRAR
2nd Stott’s MOBUFF KASHMIR nice 10 year old slate boy, good pigmentation, strong muzzle, good teeth and correct bite. All round a pleasing outline but lost out to 1st because he was unsettled on the move.
Minor Puppy Dog
1st Ryan & Black’s BRAEDOON HIGHLAND LADDIE at RAZKAL 7 month old brown dog, what a delight, this dog has everything. Well-constructed, balanced body with well-sprung ribs, close coupled, good tail set, Eye colour matching to a course coat. Correct pigmentation all helped to make the perfect package. On the move this baby did not disappoint, movement was both correct and positive with good rear drive while head carriage on the move was perfect.
2nd Duncan’s DUNCANNAS DESERT STORM 6 month old slate dog- a pleasure to go over, well-constructed, good pigmentation and correct coat for his age. Good mouth and strong muzzle. A little more experience will see this dog doing well in the show ring.
3rd Stott’s ORORA’S SOMPTUEUX 7 month old slate dog, nicely presented good depth of chest, good pigmentation and correct mouth. Movement spoiled a little by his exuberance but he has time on his side.

1st also ResBestDog Jay’s IN VOGUE ISLAND HIGH SOCIETY AT TALRAZ 17 month old slate dog good pigmentation and dentition. Deep chest well sprung rib and good course coat. Correct tail set and well developed second thigh muscles. Ideal economic movement with a well maintained top line.

1st Handley’s BARGEMON BEAUFORD TOURER AT BARKENBEAR, ShCM 40-month-old brown dog. Well-constructed with good deep chest, harsh coat and correct dentition. Good lay of shoulder and well-muscled thighs. Correct head carriage and well-maintained topline. Good economic movement with both drive and enthusiasm well-handled and yes he did get the last word as expected.
2nd Duncan’s CIOPAR RANGERS RASCAL AT DUNCANNAS, JW 30 month old slate dog nice balanced head, good pigmentation and dentition. Well balanced construction with a pleasing outline. Head carriage tended to be a little erratic especially at the start of movement, once in his stride he was fine but did loose attention occasionally
Limit Dog
1st Handley’s BARGEMON BARYSHNIKOV AT BARKENBEAR, JW, ShCM 3 year old slate dog well-proportioned head, good muzzle and strong white teeth. Eye colour matching a course coat, a substantial dog with good bone, developed muscle. Well balanced which showed in excellent economic purposeful movement.
2nd Aughey’s LOCHBARRA DARK SHADOW FOR AUGHENAIRD
Nice outline when standing, good shoulder placement, well balanced head correct reach of neck and deep chest. Nice course coat unfortunately lacked muscle, which affected his movement.
3rd Peart’s GILLABER BALLACHULISH FOR TALLUARCHY 5 year old slate dog good pleasing outline. Good pigmentation and correct mouth. Course coat, deep chest and good eye colour. Kept a good outline on the move but lacked both enthusiasm and drive, Seemed unsure of his surroundings.
Open Dog
1st Best Dog and BIS Barley’s LOCHBARRA MOON WALKER 5 year old slate dog although quite plain, this dog is the complete package. Correct head, strong white teeth set in a strong jaw, solid pigmentation, and dark eye. Moderate reach of neck leading to well laid shoulders. Good length of rib and short loin. The overall construction was balanced and the resultant movement was smooth and economical. The coat was course with a close under-coat and the thigh muscles were well developed.
2nd Gill & Cook’s GILLABER BALLATER 5 year old dark slate dog well-proportioned head, strong white teeth set into a strong jaw, eye colour matching a course coat. Moved with a well maintained top line and economic action.
3rd Gibb’s DYCHIX CAPTAIN JACK 5 year old slate dog. Good pigmentation and correct mouth. Course coat, deep chest and good eye colour. Handled sympathetically. Overall a well-balanced dog that I have seen move better and suggest that he prefers to be outside.
Special Vintage Bitch
1st Steel’s OSMART PENS ANN A BLACK BELLE 10 year old slate bitch with a beautiful soft expression and in great condition, dark pigmentation with eye colour matching a course coat. Strong muzzle with good dentition. Well balanced construction which showed in her movement, which was both technically correct and jaunty. Handled with care and consideration nice to see a veteran enjoying her day out

1st Glasgow’s GALLUS LIVING THE DREAM 7 year old slate bitch great outline when standing and maintained on the move. Nice balanced head with gentle expression. Correct coat with eye colour to match. Deep chest, well-laid shoulders and low hocks. Moved well.

1st Jay’s TALRAZ FLEUR DE LYS 9 month old slate bitch. What a picture she made and I was not disappointed once I had gone over her. She was perfectly balanced with good depth of rib and nice arched neck with an old fashioned head and a gentle expression. The coat was as expected in a puppy and her movement, when she concentrated, was excellent. Handled with great care to produce a winning combination of puppy and handler.
Junior Bitch
1st Glasgow’s GALLUS FORTUNE COOKIE 15 month old slate bitch good pigmentation and dentition. Deep chest well sprung rib and good course coat. Well-developed second thigh muscles. Ideal economic movement with a well maintained top line and tail carriage.
2nd Barley’s BRAEMORAY ANNIE LAURIE OF RUNIVAL 16 month old bitch. Good head proportions, gentle expression, deep chest. Well sprung ribs, correct lay of shoulder and good pigmentation. Strong white teeth set into a correctly proportioned muzzle. Correct eye colour coat match. Movement was a little erratic but showed drive and purpose.
3rd Robertson’s KILTONDALE LIADHICH 30 month old slate bitch, nicely balanced with a gentle expression. Correct head proportion and nice reach of neck. Movement was erratic to start but did improve.
Yearling Bitch

2nd Spray’s DOUGLASDALE PERFECT DREAM 2 year old bitch seemed uncomfortable in the ring and never settled. Good head and teeth, nice expression and well balanced construction; however, it never regained its composure which affected her movement
Maiden Bitch
1st Cunningham’s MENANDER DEHEUNE 18 month old slate bitch nice overall picture with good eye, coat, colour match, sound mover, well muscled but carrying a little more weight than I would prefer.

2nd Rudd’s COALACRE TRIBUTE TO LUBIN (NAF TAF) 21 month old brown bitch this one challenged hard for the top spot. Head, coat, eye colour, muscle, confirmation and movement were all there but that essential sparkle was missing. I would have liked two firsts in this class.

1st Peart’s TALLUARCHY ANGEL WINGS 28 month old bitch well-proportioned head good muscle and well laid shoulders with correct length of rib and depth of chest. Good movement gave her the class.
2nd Steel’s OSMART BELLE IN BLACK SATIN AT INVERCOYLE 5 year old slate bitch. I wrote in my notes “super bitch” even before I had gone over her. I was not disappointed she has a balanced head straight at the front with well-laid back shoulders good length of rib and low hocks. Nice course coat that matched her eye colour Good pigmentation but movement lacked drive on the day.
3rd Delany’s ARRANBRAE JUST ONE LOOK, JW 25 month old slate bitch. All round a very nice bitch, head well balanced good front and rear construction correct length of rib moved competently but lacked drive and was tentative as though she did not like the flooring. This class was very much won on the day and was down to movement.

1st Delany’s ARRANBRAE JUST ONE LOOK JW
2nd Craipeau’s IN VOGUE ISLAND GET A SWEET DREAM 26 month old slate bitch, nice head well balanced correct front and rear construction, course coat and good pigmentation, deep chest nice length of rib and soft expression. She was a little short of reach at the front and lacked drive. I felt she would benefit from being shown at a slightly faster gait

1st Craipeau’s IN VOGUE ISLAND GET A SWEET DREAM
2nd Delaney’s DUNCANNAS CLASSY LADDIE OF ARRANBRAE 5 year old bitch she has a nicely proportioned head straight at the front with correct lay of shoulders, deep chest and good length of rib with low hocks. A course coat that matched her eye colour with solid pigmentation. Her movement lacked drive that her construction promised, again I felt this bitch would have preferred being outside.
