The Bearded Collie Club of Scotland Open Show – Saurday 28th February 2026
Judge: Sue Osborne (Teanluick)

I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge at your February 2026 Open Show, and to the members who voted for me in the ballot. I had a fantastic time in Scotland and the weather was great. Thanks also to the committee for the gifts and the beautiful birthday cake that was made for me by Liz Gaunt, as well as gifts from other friends. I had some great dogs to judge to top it all off.

DOGS:

SPECIAL VINTAGE DOG - (no entries)

VETERAN DOG - 7 (1)
1st - Miss E & Mrs J Peart’s Ch Kilfinan Mister Moonlight For Talluarchy
7 yr old slate. He has a lovely square head of good proportions, strong muzzle and the darkest of eyes giving him a soft expression. Good front assembly, lovely length of rib with good rear angulation and a nicely muscled second thigh. He carried a good top line on the move and in the stand. Moved well, very light on his feet.
2nd - Mr R & Mrs M Robertson’s Arranbrae Laird Of Quothquan JW
10 yr old slate. Good proportions, lovely top line on the move, good angulations fore and aft, another with a good masculine head, dark eye and strong jaw. Just missed out on 1st place as not so animated as 1.
3rd - Dr S A Savage & Mr D McLean’s Talraz Comic Relief At Canaich JW VW
Nearly 9 yr old plain slate. Nice outline with a dark eye, good strong head. Moved straight back and forth with a level top line.

12 1/2 mth old. Lovely dark slate, good overall proportions, he has a good masculine head, dark eye and correct dentition. Lovely length of rib with a short loin and good fore chest. He was a bit erratic on the move, but when settled I saw some promising movement. Just needs more time to settle. Lovely profile in the stance.

YEARLING DOG - 3 (0)
1st - Miss J Carter’s Memorylane Emotions In Motion For Ravenswyre JW (Imp Fin)
