The Bearded Collie Club of Scotland Open Show – Saurday 4th March 2023 Judge: Mrs Liz Sichi (Seachran) I would like to thank the members of the club for selecting me to judge this show. Thanks to the committee for arranging and providing such great hospitality. Thank you to my steward Dick for making sure everything was in good order. I found the overall presentation of the dogs to be of good standard with no great concerns. DOGS: SPECIAL VINTAGE DOG - 1 (1) VETERAN DOG - 3 (0) 1st - J.B. De Chester At Gallus (Imp Fra) (Mrs A M Glasgow) Lovely blue dog I have watched for a number years, moved well, good eye colour and presentation was good. 2nd - Invercoyle Caperdonich At Barkenbear VW (Mrs B & Mr K Handley) Nice blue good strong masculine dog moved freely. Good coat texture. 3rd - Talraz Look To The Future At Capelaw ShCM (Ms V Gamble) Strong dark colour good texture to coat, dark eye and pigment. MINOR PUPPY DOG - (no entries) PUPPY DOG - (no entries) JUNIOR DOG - 1 (1) YEARLING DOG - 1 (0) 1st - Braesnobel Salt N’Pepper (Mrs J Cox) Nice dark coat, good pigmentation and dark eye, would like to see a bit more length to him, needed to settle a bit more. MAIDEN DOG - (no entries) NOVICE DOG - (no entries) DEBUTANT DOG - (no entries) UNDERGRADUATE DOG - 3 (1) 1st - Aoibh Drummer Boy JW (Mrs E M Ayrton) Good extension on the move, good strong head and neck length pigmentation good. Very like the old type beardie. 2nd - Allachoy Dances With Wolves (Mrs M Walker) Good strong head, good bite and pigmentation. Would like to have seen slightly longer neck, movement not as good as 1. GRADUATE DOG - 3 (1) 1st - Bargemon Brigadoon At Barkenbear JW (Mrs B & Mr K Handley) Well presented dog and moved in unison with handler, rib of good depth and good topline, dark eye and pigmentation. 2nd - Braesnobel Salt N’Pepper (Mrs J Cox) 3rd - Allachoy Dances With Wolves (Mrs M Walker) POST GRADUATE DOG - 3 (0) 1st - Dychix Invictus For Razkal (Mrs C Ryan) Strong masculine head, lovely dark eye correct expression good bite. Moved with ease round the ring. Well presented. 2nd - Duncannas Special Edition At Strufingill JW (Mr S & Mrs L Kuz) Lovely nice dog, good strong head with good bite and nice dark eye. Nice movement. 3rd - Finesk The Dancing Master (Mr D & Mrs S Kirby) Nice slate dog coat has good texture, rib good length and depth. Movement good. MID LIMIT DOG - 1 (0) 1st - Kilfinan Mister Moonlight For Talluarchy (Miss E & Mrs J Peart) Mature slate dog good pigmentation and strong head, good length and depth to rib cage. Good movement. LIMIT DOG - 3 (0) 1st - Talraz Comic Relief At Canaich JW (Dr S A & Mr D Savage & McLean) Lovely dark slate coat, good strong head and dark pigmentation. Presented well and moved well. RBD 2nd - Bradiba’s Brilliant Nutmeg Muffin At Calkylona (Imp Deu) (Mr W G B & Mrs J Costello) Good brown dog, strong head with eye colour to match his coat. Moved well. 3rd - Braesnobel Looney Tunes (Mrs J Goodbrand) Mature slate and white dog, good head with nice expression, good rib length moved round well. OPEN DOG - 2 (0) 1st - Burnhock Superior Diamond For Gillaber (Mrs A & Mr A Gill & Hosie) Masculine brown dog, good head, good eye colour and pigmentation lovely expression, presentation was good and moved well in unison with handler. BD & BIS 2nd - Snikkles Bluebeard At Pirateer JW ShCM ShCEx (Ms S Gibb) Nice blue dog, good head and eye colour. Good muscle and good movement. BITCHES SPECIAL VINTAGE BITCH - 2 (1) 1st - Kiltondale Liadhich With Quothquan ShCM (Mr R & Mrs M Robertson) Nice bitch for age, good dark coat & eye and pigmentation. Move out well. BSV VETERAN BITCH - 3 (0) 1st - Invercoyle Erdradour (Mrs F & Mr A W Steel) Nice blue bitch, good construction and presentation. Move well and in unison with handler. BV 2nd - Clovabrae Solar Flair ShCM VW (Dr S A & Mr D Savage & McLean) Lovely slate bitch, nice head and expression. Moved well just pipped by 1. 3rd - Kiltondale Isn’t She Lovely For Braesnobel (Mrs J Goodbrand) Well presented bitch, moved well. I would have liked to see a bit more length to her. MINOR PUPPY BITCH - 2 (0) 1st - Bradiba’s Devil In A Bush For Calkylona (Imp Deu) NAF/TAF (Mr W G B & Mrs J Costello) Lovely Brown bitch once settled she moved well, good pigmentation one to watch in the future. BPIS 2nd - Braemoor’s Rejoice Again At Finesk (Imp Nld) (Mr D & Mrs S Kirby) Good dark colour and pigmentation, needs to settle on the move. PUPPY BITCH - 2 (1) 1st - Braemoor’s Rejoice Again At Finesk (Imp Nld) (Mr D & Mrs S Kirby) JUNIOR BITCH - 3 (1) 1st - Basnikova Muza Od Plzenskeho Lotra At Gallus (Imp Cze) JW (Mrs A M Glasgow) Lovely brown bitch, good construction, nice and steady on the move. 2nd - Capelaw Celeste (Ms V Gamble) Nice bitch, on the day she needed to settle when being presented, nice on the move. YEARLING BITCH - 2 (1) 1st - Basnikova Muza Od Plzenskeho Lotra At Gallus (Imp Cze) JW (Mrs A M Glasgow) MAIDEN BITCH - 2 (1) 1st - Braesnobel Big Yellow Taxi (Mrs J Goodbrand) Nice bitch, move good would like to see a bit more body on her. NOVICE BITCH - 3 (2) 1st - Capelaw Celeste (Ms V Gamble) DEBUTANT BITCH - 3 (2) 1st - Capelaw Celeste (Ms V Gamble) UNDERGRADUATE BITCH - 1 (1) GRADUATE BITCH - 2 (0) 1st - Braesnobel Rum N’Raisin (Mrs J Goodbrand) Lovely dark coat and good dark eye and pigmentation, nice on the move. 2nd - Finesk Bratach Bana (Mr D & Mrs S Kirby) Nice old fashion type, good dark coat and pigmentation and moved well. POST GRADUATE BITCH - 5 (2) 1st - Kiltondale Memphis Belle At Strufingill (Mr S & Mrs L Kuz) Lovely dark coat and pigmentation. Liked this girl as a puppy she moved out well. BB & RBIS 2nd - Braesnobel Rum N’Raisin (Mrs J Goodbrand) 3rd - Talraz By Firelight To Capelaw (Ms V Gamble) Nice dark slate good pigmentation and dark eye, moved well MID LIMIT BITCH - 1 (1) LIMIT BITCH- 4 (2) 1st - Corimist Fashion Star (Mr M J Johnston) Lovely dark slate, nice expression and dark eye, moved in unison with handler. RBB 2nd - Braesnobel Let Freedom Ring (Mrs J Goodbrand) Nice dark slate, dark eye good pigmentation moved freely round ring. 3rd - Arranbrae Spanish Eyes (Mrs H Cook) Nice bitch with good expression, felt she could have moved with more drive. OPEN BITCH - 2 (0) 1st - Douglasdale Dream Island (Mrs S Muir) Lovely rich brown coat good eye colour and pigmentation, moved well round ring 2nd - Aoibh Skylark (Mrs E M Ayrton) Old type bitch, dark coat lovely dark eye, moved out well. SPECIAL CHAMPION CLASS - 2 (0) 1st - Ch Malandex Xpat’s Gem At Gallus JW (Mrs A M Glasgow) Lovely dark bitch, judged her at her first show and delighted to see she has matured well. Moved with ease round ring. 2nd - Ch Malandex French Xpectation For Gillaber (Mrs A & Mr A Gill & Hosie) Lovely presented bitch, nice dark eye and pigmentation, good on the move.
